Hello, i am a final year under-graduate student from Manchester University doing a piece of research into gardening. Below i have mapped a semi-structured interview in which i hope to extract some detail into why people engage in gardening. The research will of course keep anonimity for anybody who chooses to reply. I need around 4 people preferably 2 male and 2 female although that is not absolutely necessary. 6) Do you believe having a well kept garden is a good indicator of social class? If so or indeed not, please explain why you think this.

8) Do you find gardening to be a therapeutic exercise?


9) Why? Could this be due to external pressures such as an increased awareness of certain risks such as crime? Or the recent increases in financial insecurity on a global scale? Or in particular environmental risks?
