...civilization Fast Forwards? Why does placing your "belief eggs" all in a basket of an outside Higher Power represented by an earthly man, Jesus Christ...as an infallible being 2000 years ago for every action he took and did not take, or any outside Higher Power as being infallible in it's invisibility not work to make a functional civil human being for today and tomorrow?

For his time, Jesus may have provided order. This I do not doubt. But for today? Why not today?
Well Wonderful, Who is to say that your perception of "God" if it is fundamental and traditional is perhaps skewed and protected by the safeguards of your monetary class position in society, where you feel comfort that seems to be coming from an actual illusion of that source of comfort?

I take God too, but my God and your God are two different things apparently. And my God works too, and I don't expect everything to be rosy from my God because I recognize that my God has made a roller coaster ride for me and for you. Some of us will get to ride a great big economic boom and others not because of skepticism and questions that people will not answer or cannot answer because they don't care.

If everything in your life has been rosy, you have no questions to ask. So you would support the status quo. For a majority of our society though, that is not the case! But you keep your beliefs, dear!

Sounds like it's your opinion, come up with some facts as to why it isn't working.

We have decided, or been convinced, that financial success or how beautiful you are is the best way to judge a persons worth. Possibly the work of the devil ? In any case, humanities shift in priorities will certainly lead to its downfall.

well, i can tell you, you can't share your 'belief eggs' into different baskets. You have to look at which one is right and follow it. That's why i'm a Christian (non-catholic).
