Do loquats and figs grow in Virginia Beach? If so, what month are they available?

Where can I purchase fruit? I will be visiting Virginia Beach in May for the first time and interested in buying fruit that we don't have here in the Southwest. Is there other fruit that I might try while I'm there visiting?
