Default I recently purchased a window box for my patio. What small vegetables will grow best?

I live in Alabama so whatever I grow will need to be able to withstand the heat.

I wouldn't think a window box is large enough to grow veggies. They do well in larger containers though. You might want to try herbs in the window box.

If you get enough sunlight you could grow some leaf lettuce, spinach or radishes in a window box.
