Default Is it possible to grow fruit trees indoors? (sorry, i'm new to this!)?

Say you live in an area where it is cold a lot but you would like to grow fruit trees indoors. Is it possible? How? Can fruit trees (like oranges, tangelos, lemons, and grapefruits) be kept (if planted as a baby tree) in a large pot or something other than actual ground? Thanks so much and God bless!!
