Sure! I know of several tree services In my area where all they do is tree work - and they stay busy all year round. Personally or professionally, if I needed tree repair, trimming or removal, I would call a tree service with arborists on staff and not a landscaper.

Absolutely. There are many tree service businesses around here that only deal with trees. Diagnosis & treatment, pruning, removal. That's plenty to keep your hands full.

Only if you want to. You should do well just being an aborist. That in itself is a lot to learn.

A highly trained arborist doesn't mess around with landscaping. In fact I'd be suspect of any arborist who also landscaped......it would tell me he/she is not highly trained. Keep working towards your certification is ISA or NAA. It's a sign of a true professional and the only one I'd refer clients to. Any thing less are tree butchers. That's not to say you can't trim shrubs, but please, never with hedge clippers. If you don't understand why, stick to the trees.
