Default how to fertilize centipede grass sod thats not rebounding from a winter freeze?

had sod put down in Jan then it rained for 2 weeks and temperatures were in the teens several days. The grass is coming in but slow and very light green. About half is completely dead. Should I fertilize. I'm in middle Georgia and its now in the high 80's everyday.
