Go to a local car dealership and see if they have any openings. They might just need help in the parts department.Or maybe ask them if they have an apprenticeship program in the service department. You might end up helping a mechanic with basic jobs like oil changes or brake jobs.
But be persistent.Don't just ask the receptionist.
Go to the parts counter and ask to speak to the manager.
Let him know that you're a hard worker looking for a part time job.
Do the same at the service department.
Do the same at ALL the dealerships in your area, until you get a job.
You'll be much happier than if you got a job at Mickey Dee's or any place like that!

I'm 18 and I do nightfill. Nightfill is basically working in a retail store, going to the back dock and wheeling out all the cages which has stock already been placed for you. You wheel the cage to the specified location and then start filling the shelves. This work starts at 7pm - 11pm for me but because christmas is just around the corner, I usually start at 4pm.
