Default planting grass seed cold weather"?

I live in Zone 6 in East TN. We have been having some warm wet weather the past week or so. It has been raining lightly the past few days and is supposed to rain the next few days. We are having temps in the upper 50's to lower 60's in the daytime and upper 30's to mid 40's at night. I put down some grass seed and starter fertilizer today to take advantage of the wet and warm weather. Do you think the grass seed will be ok. How much more warm weather will we need for the seed to be ok. Thanks for any answers

I say save the money and seed after the last frost. Then you can aerate in the fall and reseed next year in fall. The seed won't have enough time to root and build a suffencient support system for the winter. more yhan 70 percnt of the seeds will die before next spring. take this time to Dethatch and lime the yard to get the pH up to par, then next year you wont have a problem. You'll be laying on Green Carpet by next Fall

I live in the north and we have planted grass before in the fall. it just needs time to just start growing and then it can freeze and it will come back up in the spring. I think you will great grass come spring, good luck.
