Default For summer vacation I'm going to mow lawns. My lawn mower cuts a path that...

...is 2 feet wide, and I move at an ... average speed of 180 feet per minute. If I am mowing a section that is 120 feet long and 80 feet wide, about how long will it take me?How could I figure this out myself so I won't have to ask again?

Area to be mowed 80' x 120' = 9600 square feet. You move your mower 180' per minute and cut a swath 2' wide so 180' x 2' = 360 square feet mowed per minute.9600 square feet to be mowed and you can mow 360 square feet per minute, 9600 divided by 360 epuals 26.666 (or 26 and 2/3 minutes. You will mow this lawn in 26 minutes and 40 seconds. Good luck in your mowing business. My nephew made over $3,000.00 in 10 weeks over summer vacation two years ago. He was 12 years old at the time.
