Default Water flows at 2.0 m/s through a garden hose which has an inside area of 4 cm². If

the area is reduced to 1.0 Water flows at 2.0 m/s through a garden hose which has an inside area of 4 cm². If the area is reduced to 1.0 cm², what is the new flow rate?

conservation of mass equation
initial mass flow rate = final mass flow rate

initial area x initial speed = final area x final speed

2 x 4 = 1 x final flow rate

final flow rate = 8 m/s

not really, pressure may increase significantly
