Default What is causing this mold to grow in my houseplants?

It's white, fuzzy and odorless and growing on the potting soil. It doesn't seem to be hurting my plants, but I discovered it this morning and would like to know how to get rid of it and what caused it! (ICK!)

It may be a problem with the potting soil. Or, it could be that you have watered too much. During the colder months I find that I don't need to water as often. Try repotting with a new bag of soil to see if this gets rid of the mold. Be sure to dump the old soil in the trash so your other plants, inside and out, don't become infected.
