My dog (Boxer) will stick his head in our houseplants and just stand there for ten minutes at a time. He did it with our artificial Christmas tree also. It's weird. Why does he do this?

maybe he smells something in the dirt,we have 2 boxers,they bury their nose in the snow for hours smelling for things

I'm not sure. My dog likes to rub up agains plants. It's gross washing him.

I'm guessing he thinks there's something hiding in it? Or... he's smelling it looking for a scent.

I am not sure. However, my plants can't be eye level to the dog or he will eat them. My dog loves the christmas tree and the ornaments.

Dogs are weird that is why I love them so much.

do you have a cat??? if the cat pee pees in the plant, the dog will go to the plant to check the...sample out. you know, they like that kind of info....
