Hello every one,I wanted to start a home-based business growing herbs i learned how to grow indoors.I feel i can be successful because of the large network i know.my obstacle is i dont know what kind of permit or license i would need to grow herbs in my house( since the herbs are not a drug fda says it falls under dietary supplement)Does anyone know the first source I should contact?

Please no opinions I just want solid facts from someone who has taken this route or are around friends and family who has done this or something similiar

You might need to edit this a little, since you don't make this clear, but are you talking about selling live herb plants (in which case you'll need a nursery license (contact your state's Dpt. of Agriculture) or are you talking about raising the plants, then harvesting, drying and processing the resulting herbs?

In that latter case, I'm not sure what you'll need to do, but you will probably need to contact the same agency, you state's Department of Agriculture. They will be in charge of any food suppliment regulations for your state.
