I've seen the many different choices I have to light my indoor herb garden, but nothing really tells me what the better choice is. I've decided on flouresent just because making ends meet is difficult enough WITHOUT a huge power bill, but I am having a cunnundrum with the different bulbs. There are artificial sunlight bulbs, but also bulbs made specificly for plants and aquariums. I know plants absorb light from the red and blue spectrum which is why they reflect green, but would singling out the specific spectrums, or providing the same full spectrum as they would normally receive be the better choice?
