when its thyme er. I mean timedepends where you live- you can start in the house anytime but dont move it outside until the last frost has gone. sometimes, I have taken a chance and had frost come after outside plants were in place. this is a hassle but many times you can save the plants by covering with plastic so they dont get frosted- this doesn't always work.
