Any gardeners from the Dandenong Ranges out there?

Have recently bought a property there and would love to get stuck into the garden, but could use a little local advice on what does well there, particularly in the Emerald-Gembrook region.

What I would reccomend you do is visit a few of the many nurseries in the area ...

http://www.tesselaar.net.au/ is a very popular one... out along Silvan Road .. PLUS along that Road there's plenty more nurseries to see ...
