Yes
I have vivid memories of that. I lived somewhere that gets colder in winter than where I live now. Where I live now is too near sea level so it never gets quite that cold.
Its funny you should ask as I was just thinking about this the other day

I grew up in Yorkshire where it was a bit hilly and it got alot colder there. I didn't mind so much as we had snow and that was fun.

You are not an odd bod...I remember it well and thanks for reminding me of that fun element of winter

I still love that now, wait for a freezing cold day and hang a shirt and trousers out then stand them on the worktop to thaw, jeez I need to get a life.

WOW - how old are you? LOL j/k

I grew up with a dryer that we used when it was too cold...but now I live down south and it doesn't get that cold that often so I put my clothes out to dry more. Maybe I will try to leave them out to freeze next time the temp. goes down...

I remember that too - in Nottingham - but in the south west it doesn't seem to happen - or it is global warming? - will my kids ever see it I wonder?
