Ideally, I would have minimal lighting in certain areas. What I prefer is to mix a number of "night bloomers" in with regular flowers. There is a Missouri primrose that is beautiful but only blooms at night. Angel trumpets are fabulous at night and seem to emanate their own light. A color combination of yellow and blue can light up a garden at night with no light. I have brown eyed susans and behind the brown eyed susans, I have giant blue lobelia. The colors seem to come alive at night. However, I would enjoy some light where I have shrubs and bird baths and other flowers that are not quite so flamboyant. First, though, I need electric so this is in the planning stages.
