Deer made from wooden logs such as Birch, Cedar for garden?

Sometimes while driving on the highway I have seen in people's yards "Deer" of various sizes made from logs and small branches from white birch trees or ?
I have checked the Internet and only found one site that shows how they are made - does anyone know where there might be another site?
We want to make one for our yard and for a neighbour's yard.

you said that you see them in other peoples yards, why not ring the bell and ask them?
most avid gardeners would take it as a big compliment that you stopped to ask. try it
