Default Gardeners, please help!?

I have a huge cactus plant which I dearly love. Here is my problem ;burmuda grass. It grows around, under and thru the cactus. I have tried;hoeing, digging, clipping and pulling the grass.I'm old, tired and injured.I'm hoping someone out there has discovered something that can kill the grass without hurting my beloved cactus. So, please, anyone with a proven method help!
WOW! I didn't expect so many helpful answers! I want to thank everyone who took the time to answer my question.Unfortunately only one can be the "best"answer. Since I took the advice of several answers, I'll let the vote decide.Again, thank you so much.

I would try a herbiside with glyphosate in it. Make sure to read the directions carefully and spray directly on it it should'nt kill the cactus. After most or all is dead put abarrier around it, mulch, gravel, plaVinegar:
Spray the Bermuda with a 20% solution of Vinegar. It will only kill off the top growth, but with continued use it will keep your garden Bermuda free.
