Gardening - Leeks and other vegies.?
Put seeds in late around the end of Autumn 2007 for leeks parsnips turnips sweeds. Now everything "took" but I think I put the seeds in too late. Now the leeks for instance are tall and in diameter maybe half an inch. They have been in the ground for ages. I am on South Coast of NSW. They seem to be at a standstill. Should I leave them or pull them up now??? Same with some of those vegies that even now have foliage on them but do they usually last that long from late Autumn 07 to now Jan. 08 or should I just rip them all out right now??
NSW is in Australia and it is Summer here and those leeks I am talking about don't have flower shoots on them but from what you have told me I think I should leave them in the ground and they might reach full size. We do have warm (not really too hot though) summers here. The seeds were originally put in a bit late at the end of autumn last year it was.
