I planted the Dent variety of corn the kind that has a butternut taste. Dent corn doesn't get very big.
Farmers often use that variety for animal feed. I'm not a farmer though and I like butternut taste corn better than regular sweet corn. I use to grow a butternut corn I think was called Armetage.. it grew a fair size and was hardy but not many cobs per plant! I can't find that type anymore. So I planted Dent brand corn seeds. The cobs are a little bigger than a persons hand. They should be double that size. How long can corn stay on the plants?
