Default My mother is 72 and (in the summer) will often take her shirt off and garden/wash...

...windows etc. in her bra...? She lives in a suburban street. She has lived there over forty years, (I was brought up there), has always done this, and I never thought anything of it until I read the answers to a question about a woman changing her top at work, and many people thought this was disgusting. Is it?

NO, let her be. If she's comfortable and isn't bothering anyone. Maybe she likes the FREEDOM.

Good for her!!! wearing just a bra is no different to someone wearing a bikini top.I would say NUTS to all those who think its disgusting, they are probably jealous.

That's defenitely weird... it wouldn't be so weird if it was a bikini top, but it's a bra... I asked my mother and she said she wouldn't do it.

why don't you talk to your mom about this? after all its her decision not yours. Is there a chance she is endangering herself?
