bonsai tree present?

i'm getting my boyfriend a bonsai tree as a impromptu present and having it delivered to his work. they say bonsai trees can last for hundreds of years.
need ideas of how i should word his card. i want to say something nice and romantic and something i link with the life expectancy of the bonsai tree
