Default can anyone identify a tree for me. planted after dad died, he was growing it...

...as a bonsai but no label ? dad usually labelled things well but not this one. planted it in forest where it is thriving. forestry wardens unable to identify and no luck in books. tree is now 7 years old, 4foot high and about 3.5 feet width. have photos of leaves on a twig. i really would like to solve the mystery of the unknown tree.

You could take photos and leaves to the museum or write to people at Kew gardens
