Default Can a Bonsai Tree re-grow if it looks dead?

It's a Serissa Foetida (don't know if that's spelt right) or also known as A Tree Of A Thousand Stars.

I left it outside when it was really hot and went out for a few drinks. It ended up being the rainiest day ever.

Now the soil is really wet and the leaves are all brown and droopy and some have black spots on.

Is it dead or is there anything I could do to give it a chance of survival?

Thanks in advance.
