Default Help identifying a strange flower I found growing in my backyard?

I found this strange flower growing in my backyard I has a single stalk with 5 or 6 stalks coming out of the top of it in a star shape then they have red flowers with about 3 or 4 petals and very long stamens that kind of grow out and the up sort of like a cup shape, no leaves, it is about a 1' 5" tall. I know it is not a very good discription but I just don't know how to explain it. any help would be greatly appreciated
absolutely not a day lily I have those thses bloom in late september early october and there are usually only about 3 or 4 that come up and they seem to move around the yard they are in a different location just about every year
it has a single stem. then from the very top of the stem there are about 5 smaller stems that grow out to the side in a circle then the flowers are at the end of those small stems........It is an extreamly strange looking flower but it is very pretty
YEAH I FOUND IT................IT IS A SPIDER LILY!!!!!!
