Default i have a flowering plant that is seeding are there any special ways to plant the

seeds? i want to plant these seeds but i dont know if i have to dry them or if i should wait till next spring? what can i do?
my plant is an out door bush like with 2 ish foot tall stems and about 6 to 8 inches from the top the flowers are purple. after they bloom they seed and i have collected lots of the seeds, i live in NY. so i will wait till spring to plant them
