Try Sedum Autumn Joy, a fleshy leafed plant with big red cauliflower heads. A perrenial that will come back year after year. For November flowering try Viburnum Tinus. Evergreen shrub with pink buds that open to white flowers. Starts flowering about the end of October and as it matures keeps going until February or March.
