Default Do I have to take out all landscaping rocks before planting new shrubs? The rocks

are mixed in with the soil.? Sprinkler pipe burst and the contractor made a huge mess tearing out dead shrubs. The landscaping rocks have been mixed in with the soil and weed control fabric.

No. You can landscape it however you want. Depends on your style, and how much energy you have.

Plants grow around rocks all the time. Roots will find the soil. Don't get to worried about the soil having rocks in it.

Would probably be good to remove the old landscape cloth. Or just plant thru it.
