Default Are the fruits on the palms trees that are grown by the roads of Singapore edible?

And are they coconuts? Because Ã*'m quite confused with palms and coconuts. The unknown fruits that are grown on the palm trees look almost the same but are orange in colour. But the coconuts we use to see and eat are green in colour. But i was being told by someone that the unknown fruits are also classified as coconuts. Thank for trying to help out to answer this question.

Yes they are edible. They are actually called dates. You can make many things with them like soup. But ants love to eat them. When they are ripe and healthy to eat, the dates will be purple.
