I have always been a dog person, but recently adopted a kitten. She is very playful, but has already knocked over some plants and the tree.

about the best way, is to discipline (sp?) her when she gets near it. for example, when my cats would get a little too friendly with the christmas tree & decorations, they get a squirt of water. after a while, they learned to stop. water bottles, or loud rattling objects normally do the trick.
