I'm getting married in a few months, I wanted to know the verse of the tree growing

seperately but together? I'm not sure if that makes sense, but if anyone can help me find the verse that'd be great...thanks
I believe it is a passage about a tree growing and there is fence that makes the branches separate, but it still grows with the tree. It may not be a bible verse, but more of philosophical quote. I'm not sure, but I thought I've heard it used in a ceremony before.
