Default Magical growing tree, or just normal?

I cut my own Christmas tree on November 26, brought it home, decorated, and have been watering daily. Now, Jan 1, not only is it healthy, it is even growing new branches and pine cones like it thinks its spring! My question-is this normal, since the tree's supposed to be dead once you chop it?

Wow that is strange. But I guess you must have taken really good care of it. Plus all the watering probably kept it growing. Once it runs out of the minerals it needs from the soil though it will start to die.

Happy New Year!

Kali :-)

Plants, flowers, trees will continue to grow a little after being cut if they are given water. Such as a flower bouquet that contains buds, that will open up even after being cut. I highly doubt there will be any, but you might want to check for some roots when you take it out of the stand. You might have a tree you can plant if you want.

It's not magic. Have you never heard of cuttings? This is cutting branches and leaving them in water untill they grow roots. It doesn't usually work with a whole tree though. No, a tree is not dead once you chop it. It probably will die eventually.
