Default Is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn a good book and is it difficult to read??

I thought the book looked really good so I told my dad to buy it, but when I saw the book it was sooo big! I only have a few days to read it because I was sick for a while, but do you think it is possible to finish it in like 3 days?? THANKS!!!
