Default Of the two trees in the garden of Eden, the tree of Life represents Jesus Christ.?

What in Scripture is represented by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? In other words, what in Scripture imparts a knowledge of good and evil whose "fruit" results in death?
Some good answers. Also answer if one can therefore partake of both trees, or if you can only live by one.

There were many trees in the Garden of Eden good for the use of mankind. The two main trees spoken of simply represent the choice between life and death. The tree of life represents the love of God in bringing His children back home after their mortal sojourn. Partaking of the fruit of the tree of life puts us into God's presence. Partaking of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil brought about mortality and separation from God. This was the beginning of disobedience and created a need for the probationary period known as mortality. It also created the need for a Savior to atone for our mistakes and allow us to still come home by repentance and obedience. The two trees are set in opposition to each other just as Jesus and Satan are set in opposition to each other representing the choices we have to make in life to follow obedience to God or to rely upon the knowledge and wisdom of mankind, rejecting God's wisdom. Even though it was a necessary step for our growth and development, we have to learn good from evil by the choices and mistakes we make, the choice was nevertheless set before Adam and Eve to exercise their agency. They could stay in the Garden indefinitely until they partook of the forbidden fruit. Then the way to the tree of life had to be blocked so that they could not return to God without first going through the mortal probation process.
So, no, they could not have it both ways.

Tree of Life represents living according to the Laws of Nature. Since man has the faculty of learning and understanding, to him was given the knowledge of good and evil. To choose from the two paths, was given the free will.
The knowledge of good is the Path of Morality i.e. Goodness, Kindness, Compassion working in harmony within the Laws of Nature while the knowledge of evil is the path of damage, destruction, darkness which is contrary to the Law of Nature the fruits of which is death. The practitioners of the Evil Path are spiritually blind, drunk with ego, pride and evil-power i.e. brainwashing, mind-control, enslaving other people to their Will for monetary gains, their actions earn for them "Death" which means they lose their Soul. Remember the axiom "what good is it to gain the world and lose the soul".
One has to be very cautious there are many Wolves in sheep clothing. One has to be very strong to be able to recognize them and to escape and not be caught in their trap. The Evil Path practitioners always use Religion as a trap to catch their Bait. The Best Religion is Goodness, you can practice it anywhere and do not have to be bound to any Guru or Cult Leader or Con-man. BE FREE!!!!

Interesting question. I would say the mind. The mind is the seat of knowledge. The mind is also synonymous with the spirit. The Bible says let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5,6. In other words we decide for or against with our mind. The tree of knowledge of good and evil is symbolic of our mind. We experience death or life by our decisions.May God continue to bless you. May you grow in his grace daily.

The tree of life represents the woman which men were separated from. The tree of the knowledge of good and bad represents the bible which men wrote.
Question. If a group of men were sent into exile forever, would they not surely die out?
At the top of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, sits two men, a father and his son, they are masquerading God.

When God told Adam and Eve they would die.He did not mean literal instant death.Doesn't everyone eventually die?Doesn't Jesus Christ offer all who believe and trust in him eternal life? The penalty for sin is death, but eternal life through Jesus Christ.I asked myself the same question, but realized after I thought about it critically that everyone has to face death eventually.Death is the final enemy, and is defeated through salvation through Jesus Christ.
