Want info on growing: Bankasia Spinulosa (a pine tree).?

I'd like to know if it needs full sun, or how many hours of sun, tolerance level for the San Jouquin Valley, CA and pests, how messy are they, and any other info I might want before purchasing a couple. The guys at the nursery don't speak english so it's difficult to find someone who might know!!
