Default What kind of tree should I plant in my front yard?

I want to get some nice shade for the summer months which are unbearably hot. Ideally, it should be a tree that won't lose many leaves in the fall. I don't want it to have the kind of roots that will eventually break the curb. Oh, and it must look beautiful!
