Default What type if shrub would be good to plant in the short walkway to the front...

...door to our home? I live in cold WI winters and hot WI summers. I have 6 shrubs on our walkway now, but 2 out of the 6 look good. Since these shrubs are not growing correctly I want to change them out completely and move the good ones to a different part of our home. I want to mix up the colors of the new shrubs also like red, bright colors....any suggestions?
