Default Where can I plant a live christmas tree?

So we got a live christmas tree this year, hoping that we could plant it somewhere. Now Christmas is long gone, but we still have our little tree and nowhere to plant it. Any ideas? A park? A national park? I'm in Berkeley so I didn't think it would be so hard what with all these green types around, but so far I've got no leads and it's getting to where this poor little fella might wind up in the dumpster. Thanks!
