Default Are there some fruits (regardless of what varieties) cannot grow in the tropics?

I heard that certain varieties of apples can grow in the tropics.

Cranberries, for instance, does not grow in the tropic. Perhaps those plants need the winter cold.

I am sure there are other fruits that would not do well in the tropics.
