Default Is it true that I shouldn't plant vegetables where azaleas once grew?

Azaleas are poisonous plants. Wondering if the chemicals in the azaleas get into the soil and contaminate whatever is grown there after the azaleas are removed. Potential hazard if vegetables are grown; poisons can be consumed.

i don't know the full answer but i do know that azaleas are acidic plants. They like lots of acid and will thrive under these conditions. I hope it helps a little!
