Default What veggies could I plant in summer?

Hi all,
I have prepared a patch of about 25m^2 by turning, delayed weeding and composting it. It is currently mid summer in SA, and my area has decent rains and is quite warm and the patch receives full sun for about half the day.
What vegetables would the fundies here recommend planting round about now in this sort of situation? Also, would planting from seed be preferable or should one rather get young plants from a nursery?

Thanks in advance

Hi there FlintZA

I do not know about fundis and hope to be able to help. I would suggest that since you are in a summer rainfall region December is usually the month that beans, beetroot, carrots, cucumbers, courgettes, lettuce, eggplant, melons and radish, and even tomatoes can be planted. You might even try spinach.
